Main Street Partners Program
The Pennsylvania Retailers' Association is a community of professional dedicated to the protection and promotion of Pennsylvania's retail industry through information, business services and legislative representation.

We are made up of large independent stores, national chains, and smaller retailer establishments. We are business people just like ~ YOU!

Our Goal:
It is our intent to advocate for the success and development of the retail industry throughout the state of Pennsylvania. Therefore, we would like to join with local retail organizations and economic entities to assist with their endeavors to attract & maintain quality retail businesses within their business district.

We can accomplish this in a number of ways…

1. Offer localized educational opportunities dealing with a variety of “hot” retail-related topics. PRA will sponsor a local event annually by supplying a professional trainer and promotional materials for dissemination to your members.

2. PRA will supply a member consultant to evaluate 3 retail businesses within your district and prepare a written report on observations pertaining to Customer Service, Visual Displays, Overall Marketing Appeal, Store Security, etc.

3. Provide information resources and referral assistance for questions related to the retail industry within Pennsylvania.

4. Business District Representative will have access to a database, which will act as a clearinghouse for business development leads. Example: Your group is searching for a specific type of business to relocate to your area. Your representative would have access to existing database of PRA members who may fit your needs. Also, PRA Director of Marketing can maintain a list of prospective businesses for further review based on individual business district needs as provided by representative on an on-going basis.

5. Subscription to quarterly PRA newsletter, The Pennsylvania Retailer, which contains up-to-date information on the retailing industry. The newsletter feature current trends in the retail industry, articles of interest, and updated legislation, which may affect your members.

6. Key networking opportunities with other business professionals from throughout the state.(I.E.: regional meetings, conference calls, annual silent auction & golf outing)

7. Access to PRA Member Service Providers for discounted products and services, such as, healthcare, worker's compensation, credit card processing, supply services and much more.

8. Customized services available for additional fee based on the scope of work to be performed and as agreed upon between PRA and individual business partners.

One activity selected from the list above or determined by PRA staff and volunteers along with consult with Main Street representative will be provided annually. Annual Membership Investment for Main Street Business Partners will be $150. Limit of 8 new Main Street Program participants for 2004-2005.
