Dean Sheaffer accepts award for "PA Retailer of the Year".  Mr. Sheaffer has been employed by Boscovs since 1987.  Starting as Assistant General Manager of the Credit Division, his responsibilities have steadily grown to encompass Credit, Database Marketing and the Call Center.  Prior to his employment with Boscovs, Mr. Sheaffer filled various rolls at Pentagon Federal Credit Union and M-Bank USA.  He began his career with MBNA while attending the University of Delaware Honors Program.

Dean has Chaired the Pennsylvania Retailers' Association for the last 5 years after serving as its Vice-Chairman and head of various Association committees including, Credit and Legislative Affairs. In addition, he is Chairman of the National Retail Federation's Credit Executive Council and a member of various NRF working groups.

He has served as First Vice President of Pennsylvania's first statewide economic development corporation, Grow PA Capital; has served as an advisor to Berks County's Rainbow Home for AIDS patients, and is an inventor with one issued patent and a number of patents pending.

Mr. Sheaffer resides in Berks County, PA with his wife Lorrie and children Bryan, Erich, and Logan.
